Deposits & Payment
By making a booking and paying a deposit, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to our Terms & Conditions and Cancellation Policy.
– To secure your booking, a deposit is required at the time of reservation:
1-night stay: Full payment of the night’s accommodation.
More than 1 night stay: 50% of the total accommodation cost.
– We accept Visa, Mastercard, Debit Card, and direct bank transfer.
– American Express (AMEX) is accepted with a 3.5% surcharge.
– Any outstanding balance at the time of arrival will be automatically charged on the morning of check-in.
– Cash payments are accepted only by prior arrangement.
– A 24-hour grace period from the time of booking and deposit payment applies. Cancellations or changes made within this period will receive a full refund, less a 10% administration fee.
Identification & Credit Card Policy
– Guests are required to present valid photo identification (passport or driver’s licence) upon arrival, along with a valid physical credit card.
– Credit card details are securely stored with your reservation and may be used to cover any outstanding balances, purchases, or damages, as authorised by you.
– If you arrive without a physical credit card (digital wallet only), a $300 cash deposit is required. The unused balance will be returned following check-out, less any outstanding fees.
Check-in & Check-out
– Check-in: From 2:00 pm
– Check-out: By 10:00 am
– Key collection: Blue Summit Hideaway Reception, 22 Gillies Range Road, Yungaburra QLD 4884, unless otherwise arranged.
– Late check-in can be arranged contactless upon completion of your electronic pre-arrival form. Credit card details are required if not already on file.
– Early check-in is subject to availability (usually confirmed 24 hours prior) and may incur a fee.
– Late check-out must be approved by management or the head housekeeper:
$30 per hour after 10:00 am up to 12:00 pm
$50 per hour after 12:00 pm up to 2:00 pm
After 2:00 pm, the full daily rate applies
Booking Changes
– Changes to booking dates are subject to availability and may incur a fee.
– Once dates are changed, the booking becomes non-refundable.
– Any rate difference must be paid at the time of rebooking.
Guests
– All guests (adults, children, and infants) must be declared at the time of booking, regardless of additional bedding requirements.
– All guests under 18 years must be accompanied by a responsible adult (parent, guardian, or person with parental authority). Unaccompanied underage guests will result in immediate cancellation and forfeiture of all payments.
Pets & Service Animals
– Pets or any animals are not permitted on the property.
– Unauthorised animals will result in a minimum $500 fine and immediate eviction.
– Registered service or assistance animals are exempt with prior notification and appropriate documentation. Suitable arrangements will be made, and other guests will be informed.
– An additional fee of $50 per night applies for approved service dogs.
Smoking
– Smoking or vaping is not permitted inside any rooms. A $500 fee will apply if detected.
– Designated smoking areas with ashtrays are available in courtyards or on verandas.
Rules & Behaviour
– Drunken or disorderly behaviour, as well as excessive noise after 9:00 pm, will not be tolerated.
– Non-guests are not permitted in your room after 6:00 pm.
– Breaches of these rules may result in eviction and applicable fees.
Property & Security
– External CCTV cameras operate 24 hours a day for the safety of guests and property.
– Tampering with, covering, or damaging CCTV equipment will result in eviction and police involvement.
– Lost or unreturned keys will incur a $150 fee.
– Umbrellas are provided for guest use. Unreturned umbrellas will incur a $30 fee each.
– Please do not remove items belonging to the room (towels, blankets, pillows, kitchenware, torches, etc.). Missing items will be charged accordingly.
– Any unpaid balances, minibar items, or damages to anything at the property may be charged to your credit/debit card.
– Any excessively soiled towels and/or bedding requiring additional cleaning time or specialised products beyond our standard laundering process may incur an additional cleaning fee or a replacement charge, starting from $20.
Facilities & Services
– While every effort is made to maintain accurate descriptions of facilities and services, upgrades or maintenance may occasionally occur.
– If a specific facility is essential to your stay, please confirm its availability prior to booking.
Travel Insurance
– We strongly recommend that all guests purchase comprehensive travel insurance to cover cancellation, loss or damage to personal belongings, loss of money, or medical expenses.
Events beyond Control, Liability & Force Majeure
– Yungaburra Accommodation accepts no responsibility for losses, damages, or delays arising from events beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of terrorism, civil unrest, strikes, theft, transport delays, or government regulations.
– In the event of regional natural disasters (e.g., flooding or cyclones), local authorities typically restore access within 24 hours, and tourism operations resume promptly.
Privacy
– We comply with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and ensure that your personal information is handled securely.
– Your data will not be disclosed to third parties without your written consent.
